I have been involved in fitness since my school days, I started out running for my school in St. Albans in the cross country leagues, progressing to present day where I run and coach for the St. Albans Striders athletic club I am currently one of the top ranking distance runners in the east of England.
My main disciplines are 10k and half marathons, but I compete in 3000m track all the way to marathons.
After leaving school I joined the Police force and then into the Fire service where I served for ten years as an operational firefighter, and as the service fitness advisor to both the operational and non-operational staff, I was responsible for the regular fitness testing of the staff to make sure they were fit for operational duties.
In 2005 I started up my own fitness company, dealing in personal training, athletics coaching and a specialising in sports therapy and injury rehabilitation.
I personally train every day, running approx 50-70 miles in a week, with races at least once a month around the UK, I always have personal goals to achieve to the highest standard of running, and to hopefully be one of the top ranked (elite ranked) distance runners.
In 2010 I was lucky enough to get chosen to represent the UK Police service at all national cross-country and road running events.
